Community Guidelines

Last updated: May 14, 2026

NeutraPoll only works if people can talk honestly about polarizing issues without it becoming a fight. These are the rules everyone follows.

Be respectful

Disagree with the argument, not the person. Personal attacks, slurs, threats, and harassment have no place here — even when discussing topics people feel strongly about.

Stay on topic

Keep comments focused on the poll question and the discussion around it. Off-topic spam, promotions, and unrelated rants will be removed.

Argue in good faith

Engage with what someone actually said, not a worst-faith caricature of it. If you quote someone, quote them accurately. If you're wrong, it's okay to say so.

No misinformation

Don't post claims you know to be false, especially around elections, public health, or identity-related issues. Cite sources when you can; acknowledge uncertainty when you can't.

No doxxing or impersonation

Don't share other people's private information (address, phone, ID details, employer, family members). Don't impersonate other voters, public figures, or NeutraPoll staff.

One person, one account

Verification exists for a reason. Don't create duplicate accounts to vote or comment twice. Doing so will get all your accounts removed.

What happens if rules are broken

How to flag a violation

Tap the flag icon on any comment, pick a reason, and submit. You can also block a user from the same menu so their comments no longer appear in your feed. Every report is reviewed by a human.

How to request a removal of your own content

See our Content Removal page for how to request removal of a comment you posted, or of identity verification documents you uploaded.
